Hidden Halloween in California

Lodi is a small town located in California, with its population growing to 63,000, there is plenty of culture streaming through it.
Wine country, Lodi is on its way to becoming the next “Where to be” location, it’s big in Zinfandel!

The artsy town, with attractions such as, The Grape Festival of Street Fairies and the Farmers Markets (June to Oct)
If you aren’t one for wine tasting and art gazing, there is Lodi Lake and Mokelumne River for you nature seekers.
Yes, there is something for everyone in Lodi, Including Vampires!

It’s a modest little home, with the same white trim and Americana feel of the small town charms,
but the witch in the tree,? Well, you just don’t see that every day.
In Lodi, you do, “The House Of Lee” offers Halloween fanatics a thrill and scream all year long.

As I first walked past, I saw a county resident sitting on the porch, as many residents do in small towns.
Nothing strange about that, but then I found myself performing the famous “double take”
Now, I know I stared for a bit too long; making myself seem obviously disturbed.
Holy Cow, What the h***!
That thing is not human!
It’s a freaking life-sized skeleton; dressed as a bride!

So Knowing I had to find out more, I knocked on the door. My intense curiosity has gotten me into trouble before,
But this was just to intriguing not to inquire on! So, as I stood there, with my fear senses heighted,
I was convinced Dracula himself was going to get me.

The door opened!
I was totally expecting to see the crypt keeper, boy I was way off.
Instead I met Audi Lee, A very fascinating HUMAN woman! Audi is the owner of a shop called RockOnByAudi. (Google Her)

I introduced myself and told her that I was curious about the skeleton on her porch. Her eyes filled with excitement as she invited me in.
She is one fascinating woman, she walked me into a room that was overtaken with people.

They were playing cards, drinking Bloody Marys and Believe it or not Getting SOLD!
Yes Audi makes Life-sized Dolls for resell!

I wondered about the personality of her audience, I mean they’ve got to be pretty out there right?
Audi looked at me with the certain finesse that she has, and said, “As a child, I Remember the day it turned October, smell in the air,
It’s funny how the air smells different to a child.
The excitement begins to fill the air. Us Kids Knew the neighbors were getting ready to send us on a sugar rush from Hades!
Watching the neighborhood prepare for that one special night where everyone became a friend, just help cement this memory in my mind.

I realized then that Halloween is not just a Season, but more like an emotion or state of mind. Audi has made this a reality.
“There are so many of us Halloween Lovers in this world, even with the internet it is difficult to find each other, That’s why I created The DollHouse.”

What is the doll house? It’s on online sharing spot for those Handcrafted doll makers from all over the world can come in and chat up new ideas,
Brag about what they are doing, and basically be themselves.

I heard some very interesting stories that day, I have a beautiful friendship with this lady who knows how to Live in the Spirit.

How many of us in this world carry the Love of Halloween in our daily world?
Sadly not enough, and the feeling is only available to the world one day a year.
Except for in a small town called Lodi, California.
